I know this may sound contrived, but for me, the very best part of being in this line of work is when you get to see the finished product and clients are happy with everything. No matter how much time I spend on a computer designing things that I know will be printed or created tangibly, it never feels real to me until I can touch it or see the finished product. That part is very satisfying to me.
Here’s a client who sent me a photo from a trade show in Colorado. We had to work quickly under a tight deadline to create palm cards, flyers, a pop-up banner, and a 3-layer interchangeable table throw. The best part for me was the client was so happy that they sent me a photo from the event and thanked me for the hard work. “You made it happen! Awesome work. Thanks for all your help.”
That’s when you know you’re doing things right.
